Praise the Lord. Mark 16:15 .......... Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to all mankind. Many of my brothers and sisters have shown inclination to do fasting for a while. Herebelow I will give some details on this topic. I will also post few lines daily on this subject for a few days. Before starting Fast, it is essential to know these things LOUD AND CLEAR : God looks at a pure, contrite and a humble heart before HE manifests HIS works in that person. Just because a person has repented and been baptized in the name of Jesus, that does not give a licence to him or her to keep sinning thereafter and get away scot free. It is mandatory that a person confesses all his or her sins to Jesus and repent; ask for forgiveness from Him. Similarly all persons that have hurt you must be forgiven by you. No exception. No excuses. Kneeling down in your room and weeping. And telling Him that you will not repeat any more. (Matthew 6:6-15; Mark 11:25-26). Even if a person is demanding divorce and doing nasty things, your duty is to forgive him or her. Or for that matter for any other situations too. Because Christ has said : You are bought at a price. You are not of your own. You belong to God. Bless your enemies. Bless them and do not curse. Bless those who hate you. Judge not that you be not judged. Condemn not and you will not be condemned; Judge not and you will not be judged; Forgive and you will be forgiven. After this, kindly see if you comply with these verses in full in your everyday practical life : Colossians 3:8-9; Philippians 2:14; I Thessalonians 5:17-18, 22; II Thessalonians 3:10; I Peter 4:3; I Thessalonians 4:3; Philippians 2:4-5; Romans 12:9-14; Philippians 4:6. Also kindly read these verses from the Holy Bible : Proverbs 3:5-6; Matthew 6:33; Matthew 6:6-15; Mark 11:22-26; Matthew 21:22; Jeremiah 17:7, 14; 29:11; 33:3; Isaiah 41:10-13; 43:18-19; Exodus 14:14; Proverbs 16:7; Romans 8:28, 31. It is also very important to BELIEVE that you have received and not focus on the negatives, problems and difficulties. (Read Matthew 21:22; Mark 11:24); and you must have FAITH. (Read Romans 10:17). Remember that everything happens for our good and for a purpose. (Read Romans 8:28; 31). Nothing is impossible for God. Then get ready to start Fast if you decide. PRAYER AND FASTING Read Isaiah 58:6 Is not this the fast that I have chosen ? to loosen the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke ? Day 1 : God is calling His people today, to sanctify a fast. Read Joel 1:13-14; 2:15-18. Day 2 : Fasting is more than not eating. It involves humbling ourselves before God, genuine sorrow for our sins and a repentant heart. Read Joel 2:12-13. Day 3 : When we fast, we must not be like Pharisees. Jesus has taught us to fast from a pure heart, only unto God. (Matthew 6:16-18). As we begin this prayer and fasting together, it is crucial for you to know what God is directing us to do. If you do not understand the spiritual significance of what we are doing, you will not be able to experience in your life the tremendous breakthroughs God has promised. Christ himself said this kind can come out only by prayer and fasting. (Mark 9:29). We are praying and fasting to break the chains of bondage of our families ...... off our bodies .... off our finances off our ministry ....... off our nation... WHY SHOULD I FAST ? God has chosen this fast for this specific time, and He is calling you to be a part of it. God has shown me that the enemy has penetrated the circumstances of Gods people so strongly that the only way we are going to be able to break the bonds of the enemy is through united, deep spiritual penetration ..... through fasting and prayer. It is not enough for Christians to pray for small, mediocre prayers which on the surface appear to produce results. On the surface, they are getting blessed. They may be attending great meetings, where they are praising God. When they leave the meetings and go home, has anything significant really changed ? Their healing has not come ...... their financial difficulties are still there ....... the problems in their families have not been resolved ..... their children have continued disobeying and causing lot of anxiety, worry and fear .... the husband has not relented and has not taken back his wife .... the wife parents have not stopped laughing and commenting nasty remarks .... the father has not stopped shouting for chatting on Facebook getting guidance on how to proceed in life ... so on and so forth. Infact the attack of the enemy intensifies. God has chosen Fasting as a way to go beyond the surface, into the spirit world, lay the axe to the root of the tree, and bring about incredible victories. PRAYER AND FASTING WILL ENABLE YOU TO BREAK satans LINE OF RESISTANCE ! Jesus revealed to us that fasting is a powerful key to unrealized spiritual power. When His disciples were unable to cast a demon spirit out of a young boy, they came to Jesus and asked Him the reason why. He told them, Because of your unbelief : for verily I say unto you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place : and it shall remove : and nothing shall be impossible unto you. (Matthew 17:20). Now notice the key : However this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting. (Matthew 17:21). You may be facing situations and problems that are causing you to be confused and afraid. You do not know even how to pray concerning them. The enemy may be attacking in your finances. Your debts keep piling up. And regardless of how hard you try, there is never enough money to go around. Your mind has been in constant turmoil. It may be that the enemy is attacking you physically and mentally. Your strength seems to be gone, discouragement and doubt are setting in. You have done everything you know to do. You have wept. You have pleaded. You have cried out to God. Yet it seems that your prayers are not getting through. There are spiritual forces that are hindering and blocking you from receiving the breakthrough you need ! The only power strong enough to penetrate these evil forces and pull down these strongholds ..... in your life, in your home, community and nation .... is Prayer and Fasting. Fasting is not simply a religious act for us to observe : it is a means of bringing on to a spiritual plane, where the faith that moves mountains is released into our lives, and our prayers become powerful and mighty to the pulling down of satans strongholds. How can we fast ? * A total or complete fast, where neither food or water is consumed. * A fast where only water is consumed. * A partial fast, where an individual abstains from eating specific foods, and eats only vegetables or drinks only liquids. I am of God and have overcome satan. For greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me, Lord. Your Word and Your Spirit, they comfort me. I am far from oppression and fear does not come near me. No weapon formed against me shall prosper, for my righteousness is of the Lord. But whatsoever I do will prosper, for I am like a tree planted by the rivers of water. I am delivered from the evils of this present world, for this is the will of God concerning me. No evil will befall me. Neither shall any plague come near my dwelling. For the Lord has given His Angels charge over me, and they keep me in all my ways. And in my pathway is life and there is no death. I am doer of the Word of God and I am blessed in my deeds. I am happy in these things, which I do because I am doer of the Word of God. I take the shield of Faith and I quench every fiery dart that the wicked one brings about me. Christ has redeemed me from the curse of law; therefore I forbid any sickness or disease to come upon this body. Every disease, germ, every virus that touches my body dies instantly, in the Name of Jesus. Every organ, every tissue of my body functions in the perfection to which God created it to function, and I forbid any malfunction in my body, in the Name of Jesus. I am an overcomer and I overcome by the Blood of the Lamb and the Word of my testimony. I am submitted to God and the devil flees from me because I resist him in the Name of Jesus. The Word of God is forever settled in heaven, therefore I establish his Word upon this earth. Great is my peace (the peace of my children), for I am taught of the Lord. I am (they are) protected. I am (they are) wealthy. I am (they are) healthy. I am (they are) anointed, whole, nothing missing, nothing broken in my life (the lives of my children).
