Praise to Jesus! It sounds funny to say but today is my first day with no NewJesusMovie meetings in forever and Im very thankful, haha! I needed a day to answer emails, read reports, update the script - and hopefully get a work-out in there somewhere, haha! Seriously, its been exhaustingly amazing how quickly things begin to unfold and take shape. Yesterday morning I was on a video call with Israel, working through locations and sound stage possibilities. As you may know, pretty much all Bible films are shot in Morocco, Tunisia, Malta, and a bit in southern Italy. In fact my 90s film Gospel of Matthew was filmed in Morocco and South Africa. But for this NewJesusMovie we are very focused on Israel. It will cost more to shoot in Israel because sets need to be built and streets need to be cleared, but its so worth the authenticity that shooting in Israel will bring. Not to mention the spiritual dynamic of filming where it happened. All to say, its been an amazing week of making cornerstone NJM decisions and even as I type the wheels are in motion with an Israeli production designer/art director, and UPM (unit production manager) working together, making the inquiries and formulating a plan. Step by step were moving forward. And as always, I THANK YOU SO MUCH, you who have taken action to become a part of this by donating to make it happen. By your sacrifice God is building this film that is His Gospel - a film/ministry that will draw who-knows-how-many souls... to JESUS!! If that isnt a prize to aim for, I dont know what is!
