Praising Jesus! I know that we look around and we see so much - TopicsExpress

Praising Jesus! I know that we look around and we see so much going on and so much that is happening does not seem to be good; but we have to know that God knows all things and HE will do whatever HE has to do to get our attention! We see those that complain about everything in life; the church is no different; if we have wooden pews, we want cushions pews and if we have cushioned pews we want softer ones; if we have wooden floors we want carpet on the floor and if we have carpeted floors we want a different color; if we have Sunday School teachers for every age group, we want better teachers or we want them to teach something different; if we don’t have a Youth Pastor, we want one and if we have one, we want a better one; if we have prayed for the man of God in our pulpit we want someone that can do the job better. We are never satisfied with what we have! I spoke to a man in a fast food place this week and he kind of jokingly said I hurt all over, my legs have pain, my hands hurt, my back gives me problems, so on and so on and I believe this was the response to, how are you doing? Well of course we have to understand that he said that in front of me LOL; I immediately spoke up and said yes Praise God you have two hands, two feet and legs and what you have may hurt some of the time but at least we have all of our body parts and there are many that don’t, he of course looked at me and said you are so right! We always need to be thankful for what we have; God never promised that we would not have aches and pains, he never promised that every day the sun would shine; HE only promised that HE would be with us; guide us; teach us the right way and lead us in the right path! How much more do we need? Jesus came to this earth to live as we live and HE proved through the pages of the Bible that it can be done and if we will allow HIM to live within us and keep HIS word hidden in our heart and mind; we can make it and we can prove to others and be the example that Jesus has called us to be. Lord, help us to always thank YOU for what we have, Praise YOU for all that YOU do in our lives and above all thank YOU for the Salvation that YOU have given to us and help us to accept what comes our way! Timothy 2:8-9 says, remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, the offspring of David, as preached in my gospel, for which I am suffering, bound with chains as a criminal. But the word of God is not bound! Isaiah 25:4a says, for you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm and a shade from the heat. Psalm 142:4b-7, no one cares for my soul. I cry to you, O Lord; I say, “you are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.” Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me! Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name! The righteous will surround me, for you will deal bountifully with me. Hebrews 4:15-16 it says, for we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
