Pray that every pilgrim who goes to Mecca this year, performing the duties and hoping to enter Paradise one day, will hear that salvation has already been paid for. Pray that as they do the rituals, they will question their actions and go home feeling empty. Pray that they will have the chance to hear and believe the words of John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” The Hajj Pilgrimage to Mecca is 2-4 OCT 2014. The events which will happen include: Day 1: The pilgrims will clean themselves and wear white to purify themselves and visit the mosque which houses the Kaaba, a black stone which is the most holy place in the Islamic religion. Day2: The people will walk to Mount Arafat, gather stones and ask for forgiveness of sins. Day 3: They will throw stones at pillars which represent Satan. The men will shave their heads. The people will sacrifice an animal (sheep, camels or cows) if they can afford to. The pilgrims will circle the Kaaba 7 times and run between the two hills of Saba and Marwa. If they cannot complete all these requirements on Day 3, they will continue on the following days.
