Prayer Is Vital Intercessory prayer is when people pray for others. My mother was the prayer warrior in our family; and she prayed for everyone, including her family. When she passed away in 1985, I told the Lord that I no longer felt her prayers and asked the Lord who would pray for us now. God told me: You are now the prayer warrior of the family. So, for the last thirty years, I have prayed for the family; and prayed for everyone that God put on my mind. I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. Matthew 18:19 (NLT). We have the promises of our Lord on joining with others in prayer to see thee desired results. Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 (NLT). When we pray, we must believe that we have what we pray for: I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that youve received it, it will be yours. Mark 121:24 (NLT). When we pray, we need to be persistent: And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Luke 11:9-10 (NLT). We can pray anywhere and anytime, when we pray in the spirit, whether it be in a crowd or private place. Praying aloud in private will keep a persons mind from wandering. Satan loves to whisper other thoughts into our minds to try to break our connection with the Lord. But if you remain in Me and My words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! John 15:7 (NLT). There are no prayers too little or too big for us to pray. I pray about everything; and I have done so for over sixty years. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So, dont be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. Luke 12:7 (NLT). God is concerned with our every care and need. Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you. 1 Peter 5:7 (NLT). We carry unnecessary baggage of worries and concerns in this world. God has promised us that if we would give these problems to the Lord, He would handle them for us. Give your burdens to the Lord, and He will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. Psalms 55:22 (NLT). The Holy Spirit is in us and He hears our every thought; so, our prayers are immediately heard. That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life: whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isnt life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Matthew 6:25 (NLT). God is concerned with our plans; so, we need to seek His counsel in everything in life. Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed. Proverbs 16:3 (NLT). We are the children of God: Princes and Princesses of Heaven, we can have our desires, as well: Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you your hearts desires. Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him, and He will help you. Psalms 37:4-5 (NLT).
