Prayer for Today....... Heavenly Father, we thank You for the supreme sacrifice of Your Son on the cruel Cross on Mount Calvary. We thank You for the price He willingly and courageously paid for our sins. He is spotless and holy but He bore the consequence of our sins in His body - the nail-pierced hands, the wounds and scars are fresh in our minds and we remember the crown of thorn, the shame and scorn and the final sacrifice of a life which was blameless. We think of the pain He bore on our behalf and we are ashamed that we fail Him daily with unrighteous thoughts and deeds. Lord, forgive us and help us to be constantly aware of our Saviour and the agony which He suffered on our behalf....... As we think of Your blessings on us and as we cringe in shame for the many occasions on which we fail to honour Your Name, we can only cry hallelujah, hallelujah for the Cross. It means much to us because it is our ransom and our redemption. It provides cleansing, healing and renewal because it bears the blood of One Who was spotless and holy. As we visualize the Cross and our Saviour, help us live lives that display holiness and obedience. May we surrender all to You today so that You will mold and prepare us for todays journey and for a future in Your heavenly Kingdom. In Your Precious and Holy Name we pray......Amen.~Pamella Spence
