PRAYERS FOR LITTLE ONES **>BABY JAINA went home to be with JESUS , please remember her family , I cant imagine the feelings of loss **>ASHLEY 12/9 this is Donna Sceares grandaughter and she is a light in dark world always smiling cutting up, We just heard back from Ashleys doctor. The ultrasound that was done on her stomach shows that she has another ulcer. Although its making her very sick, its not bleeding yet so theyre in consultation with Vanderbilts Childrens Hospital to decide the next course of action and when that would need to take place. They will be giving her meds to try to heal it up, but she may be facing surgery at Vanderbilt again. There is also an open question if this could make her blood counts be as off as they have been. Please remember Ashley, Cindy and Jacob in your prayers. ^^12/10 update from granny lol , The doctors at Vanderbilt have prescribed medications to try to heal the ulcer in Ashleys stomach. They have recommended for her to go to a hematologist (blood doctor) here due to her abnormal blood counts. They also said that she has the symptoms of the stomach virus they say is raging in Nashville - takes 2-3 weeks to get over it. We have several things we are waiting on. The stander is very important to help build up the muscles in his legs so he can stand and walk. We also have a daily living chair on order and his wheelchair for starters. Hopefully we will get some of these before the end of December especially the first two since the paperwork was submitted for them the second week of September. ^^ 12/10 Sorry I havent been able to get several updates posted regarding Michael so this will be a little long: His x-ray showed nothing abnormal and that is wonderful. We will be doing a stomach emptying test on the 19th to see if this is shows what is causing him to throw up when getting food (he throws up his tube feeds and regular food) and thankfully there are medicines that can help his stomach empty better if this is the issue. On the 16th he will be going for his next round of botox injections and will be sedated for this procedure. This injections will be from the hips down this time and hopefully this will help with all his muscle tone. We are still waiting to hear back from the test results from the endocrinologist. One of the biggest praises we have is that Michaels doctor here believes he is ready to go back to Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta for day rehab! We should be receiving a call from them tomorrow with his appointment date and this appointment we will be a follow up and evaluation to see if they will accept him into the program. Please pray that this goes smoothly and that they accept him. The other big praises is that he has stood up, he also went from laying on the floor to standing up with not a lot of help and the Lord has been so good to provide for us during all of this. I am sorry that it has taken me a but to update everyone on what has been going on and once PJ gets back Ill be able to stay on top of it since I will have help again. JAXON HAS FINALLY FINISHED ERWINIA! This picture is after the clinic staff left from having a big celebration with him. In case you are unsure- erwinia is an asparaginase drug (chemo) only given in IM form. So, Jaxon has been receiving a chemo shot in each thigh three days a week since July with very few breaks. Mainly a week or two off before he started again. He barely cries when he receives the shots and even watches the needle go in. He sits still and even talks himself through! He has been one amazing patient. And he is a even better little boy! GOOD JOB JAXON YOU ROCKED IT! >NATALIE ROGERS (Brandon and Rebekah Rogers infant daughter). ^^ UPDATE continued prayers as she has just turned 8 months old >FINLEY She has sma type 1, just like Nella. ^^ 11/24 Our hearts survived an elective G-tube surgery. She had a great day, but is sounding kind of congested, so we are praying its not from any kind of germ. If you could please pray that we all stay healthy, we would greatly appreciate it. Unfortunately, we got bad news back on her RSV shot. The appeals department said theyd come to a decision in 15 days, and then it could take another 30 days for them to mail the written decision. We dont have that kind of time. Our nurse at our pediatricians office was able to fax the appeal and a letter of medical necessity to the urgent claims line, so hopefully we will hear something back by the end of the week. Please pray that we do, and Nella can get these shots asap. The cold/flu season is already looking pretty scary, and the thought of what could happen to Nella if she caught any type of bug, is devastating. We wanted to thank all of you, for your amazing and generous responses to our last post about the RSV shot situation. We are humbled by how many of you so passionately love our daughter, and want to help us fight for her. We will definitely be keeping you updated. Prayers seem to be the best thing right now! It’s not easy to tell your husband, kids, family, and friends that you have cancer. My doctor called about 5 to tell me that it is cancer, and it is pretty advanced. I will have to have some more tests done to see if it is in my other organs. My doctor said that he felt I should take some time off for myself. I am on the coast right now with my son, he is scheduled for surgery Wednesday morning. I will stay with him until next Tuesday, by then he should be getting around fairly well by himself. On the drive home I will stop in Redding to meet my cancer doctor and I guess make a plan??? My doctor is scheduling some tests where my son is having his surgery so during that time I will run over to the Lab and X-ray and have the tests done. I spoke to his wife by phone and She seems to think my son has broke his jaw. While having the seizure he fell into a wooden chair and its caused damage to his jaw and face.hes been epileptic for yrs pray God will heal him from seizures, and heal him from this fall. The surgeons said its like mush, he has one break one left side and front jaw as well. He will need a total reconstruction on his face and surgeons at pikeville arent sure about doing surgery at that hospital so he may be transferred to Lexington ky to a much larger hospital university of Kentucky so he can have the treatment he needs. Fortunately, there was an ambulance already there. The aorta pulled away from his heart. I don’t know what would cause that. He was in a very long surgery all night long. They gave him a 10% chance. He made it out of surgery and then Saturday night, he went back in for an intestinal blockage. He is still very critical. 32 y/o, wife and 2 little boys. The pole wires came down and entangled Shannons rear wheel pulling him down. Shannon is currently in a coma and suffers from a head injury. Seriousness is not known at this time. His kidney level function is not where its supposed to be.. Hes been paralized for about 28 years now from college football.. He kept getting pressure sores and for the past 9 years they have been operating back to back on him.. Cutting out infection and bone.. They have got to take out more femur bone where infection has set up again.. If they get his kidneys back functioning..
