Prayer request & update: Bo & I went to Dana-Farber, in Boston, last Friday to meet with a Urology Oncologist. It went pretty well & confirmed things we already knew. Because of Bos Gleason score of a 9 and with the cancer going right up to the edge of the prostate they recommend further treatment. They recommend starting with a treatment of hormone suppression that will help to starve those pesky possibly rogue microscopic prostate cells and then to use radiation to where the prostate use to be. We are to meet with the radiation oncologist on December 12th. He needs to recover more from the surgery internally but overall feels good & is generally back to his normal activities. (Working out & Tae Kwan do) We appreciate the prayers and support. God has been growing us and teaching us in this time and remains faithful. I changed my profile picture to one of me & my Mom. Ive been hanging out with her at my sisters house in Mullica Hill. She has been on Hospice for palliative care since last March but is now in the end stages of life. I am so thankful for her and the woman that she is. My mother has always been a very quiet, non-confrontational woman who ALWAYS put her family 1st. When I was in high school & the beginning of college they had a sandwich shop that my dad had always wanted that actually put them into bankruptcy. My Dad passed away shortly after and my Mom worked full time until she was 70 to pay it off. She has always been our & our childrens biggest fan. Her greatest joy has been to be able to help us. She would come by train or airplane if needed to come see the kids in sporting events, dance recitals or whatever they were doing to support them, every season. Her biggest fear has been that me & my sisters & brothers wouldnt be close but we are. I am thankful for them (and my awesome bother & sister-in-laws) because they are some of my best friends and brothers & sisters in Christ.
