Prayers Go to the Zimmerman Family: --------------------------------------------- Indiana Consvervation Officers have released the identity of the 7-year old who died after a water-related incident in Vincennes this weekend. Officers say Luke Zimmerman of Louisville, Kentucky died Monday just before 9am. Officers say the father 46-year old Thomas Zimmerman of Vincennes had taken Luke and his brother to the public boat ramp at Kimmel Park Saturday evening. Luke was wading in the waters of the Wabash River at the boat ramp with his brother, when he went under water. Thomas went in the water to find Luke while asking other people there to call 911 just after 8pm. As emergency personnel arrived, Thomas located his son. CPR began and Luke was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital before being flown to St. Mary’s in Evansville. Luke was then flown to Kosairs Children Hospital in Louisville, where he died Monday morning. An autopsy is pending, although no wrong doing is suspected at this time.
