Prayers and get well wishes today to Texas Rep. Ralph Hall. He was airlifted to a hospital Saturday after a car turned in front of his vehicle. He was reportedly joking with paramedics, but his injuries were treated seriously. Ralph Hall is 91. He’s the oldest serving House member in history. But he lost this year to a primary challenger and is set to leave office in January. Hall was elected to his first political office, county judge, in 1950. That was 64 years ago. Harry Truman was President, and the premiere of “I Love Lucy” was still a year in the future.
