Prayers needed please! My how things can change in your life in a short 2 weeks!!! On Saturday, the11th, Susie (my 82 year old mother-in-law) fell in the bathtub, crawled out, drove herself to work, called us at 8:00 to come and get her as she didnt feel well, was very confused and weak. On Sunday, the 12th, she called and asked us to come and take her to ER. She was admitted and given 3 units of blood and went home Wednesday. We went over every night and brought her supper and she continued to go downhill. We took her to the doctor on Monday, the 20th and the doctor told us that we needed to check into assisted living facilities and get her moved because of her weak state, plus she totally bombed the mini mental test that she took. She continued to get weaker and weaker and fell Wednesday night in the middle of the night but managed to get up and get on the couch. Vinnie and I took Thursday, the 23rd off and got everything lined up financially, had the assisted living nurse come and assess her and Vinnie and I went to Northern Hills and toured the facility. When we returned she had fallen again and was laying half in the bathroom and half out of the bathroom which of course scared the bejesus out of both of us!!! I stayed with her from then on until Sat. morning, went home, got cleaned up and then Vinnie, Stef, Brandon, Danny, Kaylee and I started moving her stuff up to NH. By Sat. afternoon we had most everything moved so I got her cleaned up and took her up there. Received a call at 4:30 this morning that she had fallen again. Finished moving more incidentals today, went and got Frankie (her dog) and we are now finally home, exhausted . . . mentally, physically and emotionally but ready to take care of dog along with our cat, Runt and still worry about her!!! We are not sure what is wrong with her. She had 2 CT scans and it showed no stroke and her blood work was good. She has an appointment with a neurologist on Feb. 4th so I hope he can shed some light on this for us!!! Please, please pray that she turns around, gets stronger and gets her mental capacity back and . . . pray for our familys strength. Its sooo hard to see a vibrant, independent woman go downhill so quickly!!!
