Praying God’s Word in Faith Brings Prosperity to His Saints Joshua 1:8 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. But the Word will not prosper one except one believe it. Hebrews 4:2 2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. Hebrews 11:1-2 11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good report. How do one believe the Word of God? By hearing it/saying it/praying in the Holy Ghost Romans 10:17 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Jude 1:20 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, We must follow God’s example Hebrews 11:3 3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear Jeremiah 1:12 12 Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. Faith is the inner confidence that God is doing for you what asked in accordance to His Word. a. Faith is the title deed b. Faith agrees with God. c. Faith says the same thing God says d. Faith believes that God is telling the truth Three Ways to Develop Our Faith 1. Hearing the Word develops our faith a. Read the Scriptures out loud 2-3 times a day 1. Until you get it in your heart 2. Until your get a full understanding of what is being said by God’s Word 2. Meditate on the Word by making the scriptures personal. a. God has placed it in your heart and your imagination so that He will be glorified. 3. Acting on the Word builds faith a. Speak the Word out during the day. b. Look for ways to use it in everyday life. c. Act the Word out if possible d. Do what the Word says 4. Reading brief explanation of the scriptures will help you grasp the meaning. 5. Use only one per day. a. Don’t skim over them b. Dive into the depths of the scriptures c. Let God reveal Himself in a new way.
