Kansas City is going to wind up on the southern gradient of the heavier swath of snow; a location notorious for greatly differing snowfall amounts over a short distance. Just the way this one is playing out. Kansas City should receive a dusting to 3. Heavier amounts exceeding 4 possible north of Highway 36 from St. Joe to Chillicothe. While the snowfall amounts tend to catch most peoples attention, please dont disregard the potential of freezing rain and ice accumulation Friday night and Saturday morning. While the window of ice accumulation will be relatively small, travel will be impacted by a glaze to 0.1 of ice.
