Pregnant Lady High Expectations from THE DOME 5 star establishment!!! :( xx Dear Sirs Apologies if this is the wrong department, but I would appreciate it if you could forward on to the Manager. I am very disappointed I am having to do this but I would like to express my absolute disappointment at the Dome last weekend. My friends and I had a lovely day in Edinburgh on Saturday at the Christmas market with our children and decided it would finish the day with a visit to the magical and beautiful Dome. Given our visit last year, which was lovely, I thought why dont we go back. It was extremely busy in the main hall so we decided we would walk through to the quieter area. While walking through there are lots of gorgeous decorations to take pictures of etc. I know your staff are extremely busy and I did ask a standing member of staff if he could take our picture. I totally understand if they cant, they could get rolled up in doing that for people all day, but what really disappointed me was his attitude and look he gave me - with one word no and looked at me as if I was being ridiculous. It was rude and obnoxious and unfortunately we encountered this with a member of your door staff again when leaving. We came out smiling and I turned and said thank you (as I do when leaving any establishment) and again I got a look and no reply. A place like the dome should be a welcoming happy place for all people to feel at ease. You are in the heart of Edinburgh and meant to be welcoming tourists from all over the world, but not only that, your Scottish regular customers. This isnt the first time I have heard this about staff at the dome, but I didnt believe it until I encountered it for myself. Customer service is key and in the heart of what I do for my customers in my job, and I would dread to think that people visiting the Dome... and Scotland... encounter what I did in Edinburgh, leaving them with a complete and utter wrong perception of Scotland. As thats certainly not how we behave. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards Marion C Murray
