The 21-year-old Muslim woman, who was four months pregnant, was physically attacked by two men. The attackers first tried taking her headscarf off and later cut off her hair and tore part of her clothing. After she screamed out that she was pregnant, one of the attackers started kicking her in the stomach. She was taken to Argenteuil hospital where she underwent treatment for injuries. Daily Mail reported that the police said that the men had shouted racist insults at the woman, saying that the veil was no longer acceptable in France. “Her husband called me this this afternoon. She lost the baby,” the lawyer told AFP news agency. He added that the family were devastated by the tragedy and would not be making any further comment. French police officer involved in the investigation confirmed to AFP that she lost her baby. The prosecutor for Pointoise, Yves Jannier, also said the woman had been kicked in the hip before she managed to flee. This isnt a terrorist buts as stated a hate crime with no political gain from it. Just crazy men jumping in any excuse to take these unfortunate women. They were attacked because they were not only because they practice Islam but more because of what other Muslims have done supposedly in their gods name. These women are true victims. Respect this womans family and not use this as some spectacle to launch a subliminal message that because their Muslim it not a terror attack. You said in Islamic countries which identifies a nation as being one that follows Sharia law as opposed to one like the United States of America (which was founded on and by those escaping religious persecution) which is a secular nation. Secondary, it is not mandatory that women who follow other religions wear a headscarf as true Islam respects other monotheistic religions and all of GODS creation even if they disagree on religion. As for other religions adapting, better know as assimilating, Muslims have adapted extremely well, it is likely that while you may see their followers in your place of work or in the grocery store appearing to be no different than you, they still have their beliefs and follow them. This may include their style of dress, the types of food they eat, their place and manner of prayer, etc. One more thing, I would request that you dont confuse religion with culture as the two are very different.
