Premier League Week 3 Bets Last weeks Premier League action saw Tottenham go top of the Premier League table alongside Chelsea Manchester City and Swansea. Spurs thrashed QPR 4-0 at Loftus Road, Harry Redknapps QPR look like they could be early relegation candidates after losing both of their opening matches. Manchester City and Chelsea on the other hand are on maximum points after their opening two games, both sides have very strong squads and this seasons Premier League title will almost certainly be won by either Manchester City or Chelsea. Everton v Chelsea The game of the weekend is at Goodison Park and it features Everton and Chelsea. Three of the last four meetings between these two sides have resulted in Chelsea victories however Everton did beat Mourinhos side at Goodison Park last season. Summer signing Diego Costa is sidelined due to a hamstring problem which is a big blow as hes scored two goals in two games, Dider Drogba is likely to come in to replace the £30million man. Evertons main man Romelu Lukaku may not be 100% either after he limped off against Arsenal last week but new signing Samuel Eto is fit to play and is more than capable of replacing the Belgian star. As always Im expecting a classic between these two sides who have a lot of attacking talent on show. Recommended Bet: Over 2.5 goals - BetVictor @ 11/10 Tottenham v Liverpool Tottenham have not made as many signings as you may have expected, despite that they sit top of league after two very impressive performances against West Ham and QPR. Their new boss Mauricio Pocchetino appears to be getting the best out of his current squad inparticularly fellow Argentine Eric Lamela who was also impressive in pre season, Lamela has now assisted four goals in his last two appearances for Spurs. Liverpool on the other hand are missing Luis Suarez who was brought by Barcelona for £75million. Brendon Rodgers has brought his replacement this week in another troublemaker Mario Balotelli. There is no doubting that the Italian has huge potential and at £16million its a great price when you compare it to the signings of Shane Long (£12million) and Ross McCormack (£11million). Lets hope Balotelli is a success for Liverpool and produces his potential, his goals will inevitably be important in the future. Liverpool will be looking to get back to winning ways after they were comfortably beaten by Manchester City 3-1 however a draw would be a decent result for both sides who are both chasing Champions League football and that is the way I think this game will finish. Recommended bet: Tottentham v Liverpool: Draw - Boylesports @ 13/5 and Eric Lamela to win man of the match - Paddy Power @ 7/1 Newcastle v Crystal Palace My favourite bet of the footballing weekend comes from St.James Park where Newcastle United face Crystal Palace. Palace have just appointed Neil Warnock as their new manager following the departure of Tony Pulis. This is a poor decision from the Palace board in my opinion, Warnock has won just 24% of the matches he has managed in the Premier League. To make things worst they have lost their opening two games of the season therefore picking up a result on Saturday is important for Palace and Warnock. Newcastle on the other hand have had a tough start to their season, they faced Man City on the opening day of the season and lost 2-0, it was a very good performance from Newcastle who appear to have made some very good signings. They followed that up with a 0-0 draw at Villa Park, Newcastle deserved to win that day after they were dominant in the second half but couldnt find the back of the net. The return to fitness of Siem De Jong will be a boost for Newcastle, the Dutchman scored 57 goals in 168 games whilst at Ajax. Recommended Bet: Newcastle to beat Palace - Paddy Power @ 3/4
