Preparing myself to say goodbye to my little Cabrio, Callie, in - TopicsExpress

Preparing myself to say goodbye to my little Cabrio, Callie, in the very near future. She came home, with 16 miles on her, the Friday of UGA Homecoming weekend 2001. We drove to Athens, slapped DG letters (the old-school small gold ones) on the back windshield, and the next day had five friends piled in for a convertible joyride. She has called eight places "home" for at least a summer (three in Athens, three in Atlanta, and two in Gwinnett); has taken road trips to Tallahassee, some *NSYNC concerts, and several other coastal destinations; and was my ride to my wedding. She has never left me stranded (knock on wood), and we have only been pulled over once (knock on wood again). I really hoped we could make it more than 92,600 miles, but I think it is time for someone else to invest some money into her and keep her running for her second life ... maybe in a place where she can ride with the top down every day. She is my perfect, almost-one-of-a-kind car! :(
