President Aquino visits Sisters of Mary School, witnesses miracle. This school is awe-inspiring as her founder, Fr. Al. Servant of God Monsignor Aloysius Schwartz, Father Al, as he was affectionately known, was born in Washington, D.C., on September 30, 1930. He attended Holy Name School in Washington. Upon the invitation of Cardinal Sin and Cardinal Vidal in 1985, he started his work in the Philippines where he established 4 boarding schools in the Philippines: Boystown in Biga, Cavite, Girlstown in Silang, Cavite, Girlstown in Talisay, Cebu and Boystown in Minglanilla Cebu. Today, the schools cater to 11,000 highschool students for free. SOM is also present in South Korea, Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico and Honduras. All for free. He died of ALS on March 16, 1992. (Around the same time when I entered the halls of Sisters of Mary Boystown Cebu). He was buried at the Girlstown in Silang, Cavite, Philippines. In 2003, the Archdiocese of Manila, Philippines, formally opened the cause for canonization of Fr. Al. Join us as we pray for the beatification and canonization of Fr. Al and in turn ask for a miracle. This holy man has done a marvelous thing, I couldnt even think of how he does it.
