President Goodluck Jonathan has been formally adopted as the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a well-attended two-day convention of the party at the Eagle Square in Abuja, the oil-rich nation’s capital. President Jonathan also announced that he would be seeking re-election with Vice President Namadi Sambo as running mate. The party also voted to amend its constitution and ratified the election of Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu as its national chairman.
