President Goodluck Jonathan of Nigeria forgot SOVEREIGN when he called for NATIONAL CONFERENCE: -By Engr. Obioha Ezekwesiri (ICT) How can any Nigerian, in the face of the ongoing catastrophes, recommend a National Conference forgetting Sovereign? What result does such a person expect to have from a National Conference with no sovereign characteristic in it? Except for my personal respect for President Goodluck as a legitimate President of Nigeria, I would have said that this man is a joker. Not to talk of legion of his advisers, functionaries and members of his cabinet who also failed to remind him that he forgot Sovereign when he called for ONLY a National Conference. What is a National Conference? A National Conference is like a school quiz/debate where student are asked to discuss on a given topic-causes of Nigeria’s failure as a nation. After the debate, student go back to their schools and homes and quickly forget that there was ever any such debate as the debate was just for the sake of debating. Calling for a National Conference is another way to say that president Goodluck Jonathan does not understand the extent of socio-political, socio-economic and security decadence in the country. What then is the difference between a Sovereign National Conference and a National Conference? If after his trip to Israel, the President realizes that he forgot the Sovereign side of the conference and finally includes it in the proposed dialogue; then, Nigerians would have hope for a change that could be felt by many if not all. Ask the lawyers around you. One of Nigeria’s well respect lawyers the late Chief Gani Fawehinmi defined Sovereign National Conference (SNC) as follows: “ The primary duty of the Sovereign National Conference is to address and find solutions to the key problems afflicting Nigeria since 1914 to date. The concern is to remove all obstacles which have prevented the country from establishing political justice, economic justice, social justice, cultural justice, religious justice and to construct a new constitutional frame-work in terms of the system of government-structurally, politically, economically, socially, culturally and religiously”. Now therefore, following this eye-opening definition of a Sovereign National Conference (SNC), the cause of Nigeria’s problems or should say failure as a nation is the fraudulent Amalgamation of One-Nigeria by England for their own egoistic interest. Therefore the expect impact of a Sovereign National Conference is to end this fraud which all of us know is a fraud. If after Ending the Amalgamation come January 2014 and some former Nigerians deem it okay to join together again, then they should draft a new contract. Ask yourselves, what happened during the Oputa panel National Conference? The Oputa Panel was single-handedly killed by Ibrahim Badamosi Babagida (IBB) and nothing happened. Not even Obasanjo could challenge him. This was because it was an ordinary conference such as president Goodluck Jonathan is now calling for. Even President Goodluck and all his members of cabinet as well as the members of Conference committee know that this is a waste of time, money, energy and a complete deceit and fraud against the people of Nigeria who are facing the fire from poverty, killing from Boko Haram, whose nation has been raped beyond recognition. Let it be known to all Nigerians and the world that the only reason why we the Biafrans have chosen to participate in this conference is to tell Nigeria and the world that we, the Biafrans have decided to end this water and oil relationship called One-Nigeria. Tell me, how can a relationship that could not produce any result in 100 years suddenly becomes fruitful simply because of a conversation between known embezzlers of public fund past and present? May I also, on behalf of my people- the Biafrans, inform Nigerians and the world that Ohaneze Ndi-Igbo is not allowed to represent Igbo people in this conference; equally forbidden to represent us are Igbo Governors who have raped Igboland and are still raping Igboland – people we do not and will hardly trust? The only organization that Igbo people home and abroad have whole-heartedly accepted is The Supreme Council of Elders of the Indigenous people of Biafra (SCE) and their legal advising body - Bilie Human Rights Initiative. If the Nigerian government neglects our (Biafrans) demand for freedom and continues to play their games as usual by convening this National Conference (without Sovereign), which has already been boycotted by some of the Nigerian leaders; if they fail to discuss how to End the fraudulent 100 years amalgamation of Nigeria (enslavement of innocent people), their national Conference would be seen as not only a joke but also a mockery to the intelligent Nigerian people especially the Biafrans. Luckily, The Biafrans are not alone in their demand for self-determination. Boko Haram has made it clear that they need a Sharia State. Now, why does Boko Haram need a Sharia state? You may ask. Granted, the Almighty God YAHWEH/ALLAH is a God that demands and deserves exclusive devotion; a God that wants his followers to consider him first before considering any other thing or person or nation. The present day Nigeria is a corrupt society – spiritually corrupt, financially corrupt, a country where lie is normal, prostitution is entertainment ; a country saddled with occultic men and women as well as Criminal leaders. This is not the right environment to worship YAHWEH/ALLAH. No! As the Holy Spirit of God demands for a clean and pure environment, Boko Haram cannot worship their God (Allah) in Nigeria hence their demand for their own Sharia State. Why then is it difficult for the Nigerian state and politicians to allow Boko Haram to have their Sharia state in the North? The only reason is that they know that if they allow them, they will also allow Biafrans and others- disintegration would be the result. Therefore they have chosen to allow the endless killing of innocent Nigerians instead of ending the crisis by allowing Boko Haram to go their way and equally allowing Biafra and others go their way-total disintegration of OneNigeria, more-so as Amalgamation Ends. Every reasonable government puts her citizens first, how come Nigerian Federal government has decided to put Crude Oil first. Once again, the Amalgamation of One-Nigeria ends January 2014 so Ends One Nigeria logically speaking.
