President Obama and Senator Diane Feinstein Together with Senate Democrats Betray the Security of the American People - wp.me/p5aQfr-6t America’s 21st century Pearl Harbor, 9/11, amounted to a ticking time bomb. Confronting evidence that Al Qaeda operatives were planning a second wave of attacks against the American people, the CIA employed enhanced interrogation techniques, EITs, in an attempt to obtain actionable intelligence, time-sensitive information pertaining to Al Qaeda’s next intended moves. This was critical towards safeguarding American lives. And it worked. Senate Democrats, betraying the security of CIA operatives and the American people, asked the President to declassify and release a report in 2014 on the CIA’s enhanced interrogation techniques used in the immediate aftermath of 9/11. The President did just that. As a result, thousands of Marines and United States military personnel around the globe remain on high alert. Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel has ordered all combatant commanders to assess troop combat readiness. The expectation is that Muslim mobs and/or terrorists will precipitate violence and destruction against civilian areas as well as U.S. diplomatic missions and military bases. The Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Senator Diane Feinstein, a Democrat from California, stated in the Foreword of the Committee’s report that she watched with horror as innocent men and women jumped out of the World Trade Center to escape being burned alive. She wrote, “The images, and the sounds as their bodies hit the pavement far below, will remain with me for the rest of my life.” [See: intelligence.senate.gov/study2014/sscistudy1.pdf ] But apparently the death and destruction she witnessed on 9/11 was not enough for Senator Feinstein or the Senate Democrats.
