President Obama has authorized the use of military air strikes and humanitarian aid over Iraq - and while many of my anti-war friends will decry this action, personally I believe (as the President does) that its the only thing to do. People are suffering due to the raids by Islamic militants - the Yazidis are trapped on a mountain, no food or water. There is no decision that I take more seriously than the use of military force . . . because America has other tools in our arsenal than our military . . . Sometimes, though, those tools just dont work as swiftly . . .
