President Park Geun-hye agreed with the representatives of the 10 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Wednesday to set up a security dialogue channel at their yearly gatherings where North Korea’s nuclear ambitions can be discussed. If the first security forum starts next year as planned by Seoul, its relationship with ASEAN is likely to further strengthen from primarily economic affairs to politics and security.
