President urges EU to respond to military vehicles entering Ukraine from Russia Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has had a conversation with European Council President Herman Van Rompuy, the presidents press service has reported. During the conversation, Poroshenko urged the EU to give an assessment of the facts of heavy military vehicles crossing the Russian-Ukrainian border illegally and of the attacks by Russian troops on the positions of Ukrainian servicemen, it said in the statement. The president said that Ukraine would present all the documentary testimony needed for the appropriate international reaction. Poroshenko said that he is demanding the release of all hostages held in captivity, including those held in Russia - captured pilot Nadiya Savchenko and Oleh Sentsov, a Crimean filmmaker. The head of state also urged the president of the European Council to include the Ukrainian issue on the agenda for the European Council for 16 July. Herman Van Rompuy said this would definitely be done, the press service said.
