Presidential Address: Hello to all my friends in Comic Book Club, I hope everyone is having a great summer so far, Me and Matthieu just wanted to take the time to introduce ourselves as the new Co-leaders of the USC Comic Book Club! It means so much for us to hold these positions and we hope we can make you all proud! Before we get on to introducing ourselves and what we like, we wanted to take a moment to thank the former Presidential cabinet of last semesters club. Thank you for all the hard work and amazing memories, the laughs and the the familial aura sustained throughout the year. It is sad to see many of our Senior officers and club members leave us, but as we all know, they have bright futures ahead of them. Matthieu and I hope assure you, the club is in good hands, and we thank you again for laying the groundwork. Now, to introduce myself. My name is Christina Cortez, I am a sophomore and my major is Interactive Entertainment and Video Game Design, I know, a mouthful… It should be obvious but I love comics and I love video games. Although I may be somewhat illiterate in both fields, my passion to learn more about them is infinite! I like to consider myself an artist, and am quite fond of drawing superheroes. My favorite comic books/ characters are Spawn, the Maxx, and Deadpool. Here is Matthieu: My name is Matthieu Munoz, I am a senior and a double major in International Relations and Archeology. An interesting combination I know, and my intention is to go to Grad school for Anthropology. I am interested in comics and video games, and still trying to increase my dedication to both of these areas. I strive to read as many different stories from different titles as well, since I fancy myself a writer on the side. My favorite comic books/characters are Batman, Deadpool, and Captain America. This semester, our main goal is to continue the wonderful tradition of Comic Book Club! We want to recreate the familial environment that was shared with us last semester, and keep all the friendships within the club strong. We want to do quite a few events/ outings to reaffirm these relationships and hopefully get to know everyone better!!! Matthieu and I look forward to this year and am confident that together, we can make it awesome!!! Thank you guys so much for sticking with us, we won’t let you down!!!
