Presidential Assistant in charge of Agoa, Susan Muhwezi asked parliament to turn the AGOA office into an autonomous body to market Ugandan products in the United States. Susan Muhwezi on behalf of government has started negotiations with the Government of America to renew AGOA for more than five years. The Immigration department in Uganda has written to Shell & Bolton about a racist job advert they posted in the Uganda local media. Shell and Bolton International, a construction company operating hotel, factory and concrete in Kampala posted a racist advert in a local newspaper while looking for an administrative assistant. Commissioner Immigration, Anthony Namara has written to Shell & Bolton to explain on their requirement for only Indian, Phillipino or White to take up the job. As part of social cooperate responsibility, Letshego Microfinance has donated over 500 text books worth 100 million shillings to 21 upcountry primary schools. The company CEO Geoffrey Kitakule says that the books were given to those schools that were performing poorly in Primary Leaving Exams. US-led air strikes against Islamic State (IS) militants in Syria have killed 553 people since September, UK-based activists say. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says 464 IS fighters, 57 other militants and 32 civilians have died.
