Press Release:- Withdrawal of the amendment of Section 13(1) of VAT act Chandigarh, July 29 As per the telephonic conversation of Former Minister & MLA Sh. Manoranjan Kalia with Dy Chief Minister S. Sukhbir Singh Badal today in the morning, it has been decided to withdraw the amendment of Section 13(1) of VAT act by bringing the agenda of the same in the next cabinet meeting. It is pertinent to note that the implementation of section 13(1)of the VAT act was deferred by S. Sukhbir Singh Badal when it was taken up by Sh. Manoranjan Kalia in a meeting held a few days ago at Chandigarh in which FCT Financial Commissioner Taxation & ETC Excise & Taxation Commissioner were present. Both the leaders appealed to the traders and industrialists to cancel dharna in the light of the decision taken.
