Press Release For Immediate Release COURT INTERDICT AGAINST MEC OF COGHSTA LIMPOPO AND PROVINCIAL EXCO. Mogalakwena Resident Association has held a successful march to hand memorandum of grievances to the Premier‘s Office and the Executive Committee of Mogalakwena Municipality on the 25 march 2014. The people of Mogalakwena remain resolute to their call, that it is procedurally wrong for the MEC to put the Municipality under administration and take its responsibilities in relation to the South African constitution. We remain confident that the Mayor Cllr Tlhalifi Andries Mashamaite, Cllr David Langa and Cllr Nkholo Victor Mashamaite are party to crime as pointed out in the KPMG audit report . Therefore is our call that the MEC must intervene as stipulated in Local Government Municipal Systems Act, No 32 of 2000 and regulations. Sections 14 2(c)(d) and (e).to apply section 32 of Local Government Municipal Finance Management Act,No.56 of 2003 and Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act,No.5 of 2000 and Regulations 2(a) and (b).the three of the above mentioned councilors have contravened section 32(a) of MFMA. We are proud to announce to the public and the residents of Mogalakwena, that we have successfully obtained a court order from North Gauteng High Court .which interdicts the Honorable MEC of COGHSTA Limpopo Mr. Ishmael Kgatjepe to put the Mogalakwena Municipality under section 139 1(b).the court has reaffirm our position that the MEC is a culprit conniving, who has a malicious intention .to cover his fellows corrupt politicians, who are implicated by the KPMG. We want to sight an example, with Singapore, in the mid-70s this country was the most corrupt in the world, today they are the most progressive and advanced corrupt free Nation, with a growing economy. The people of Singapore have achieved this through a Zero tolerance approach to corruption. We call on the councilors to continue executing their mandate of service delivery as indicated in the constitution of the Republic of South Africa and regulations governing Municipalities and refrain from petty and factional political squabbles ,informed by the myopic approach, conniving and self-enrichment. We are confident that under the current municipal manager Mr. Willy Kekana our Municipality is performing extremely well. Lastly we want to assure everyone in Mogalakwena that we will continue to fight against corrupt elements in our municipality to ensure stability. We are committed to ensure that municipality provides services to the community. Issued by Kinds regards Piet Pale
