These are all questions raised and addressed in two eye-opening documentaries being screened at Saturday Cinema on Saturday July 27th “Socialism: A Clear and Present Danger” by Coral Ridge Ministries is a stunning expose about the history and the impact of socialism in America and around the world. The 1962 Academy award winning documentary “Black Fox” (87 minute B&W) narrated by the late Marlene Dietrich chronicles the rise and fall of the most feared and fanatical national leader who was responsible for 50 million deaths and a continent in ruins. Illustrations taken from the 12th century folk tale “Reynard the Fox” provide appropriate symbolism for one such as Adolph Hitler. A second movie presentation “Bonhoeffer: Agent of Grace” (90 minutes) is the dramatic portrayal of the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer a Lutheran minister who gave his life in the German resistance to Hitler.
