Ben Stead and James Elliott finished their preparation off in the perfect fashion for this weekends Round of the J & M 4 Cylinder Super Series at Maryborough Speedway with Ben winning at Kingaroy and James taking the win at Lismore on the weekend. Neither will have it their own way when they line up against 30 of Australias best 4 Cylinder drivers at Fraser Shores Maryborough Speedway this weekend. Round 1 winner and local Hamish Redman will be the hot favourites on his home track after a dominate display at Round 1 with a win from the rear of the field in the reverse grid final. Seven other locals will line up against Redman, with Round 1 runner up and super six winner from round 1 Cameron Taylor also one of the men to beat. Queensland Champ Tim Weir will be out to make amends for his horror start to the series and will be one to watch after finishing only one heat at Round 1 he languishes 18th in points. NSW Champ Trent Dhu will lead the southern invasion from across the boarder along with a surprise third place finisher from round 1 Aaron Knox. Queenslanders will have to cheer hard with NSW cars sitting 3rd 4th, 5th and 6th in the points in the series. With 30 of Australias best cars and drivers competition will be fast and furious. The program will again feature a super six for the top six on points. The super six will again feature 3 x 2 lap sprints with each race a reverse finishing order. The main event will feature the top 20 point scorers in a reverse grid final with the highest point scorer starting from the rear. With passing points on offer and the round winner awarded on total points from the night fans should expect some fantastic racing. So get your backside trackside and strap if for the best sedan racing around.
