Pretty cool news: As many of you know, I went to Denver to visit a clinic that specializes in treating a really nasty bacteria I have. It causes cavities (gas filled areas in the lung that basically dont work) in the lungs and leads to a declining lung function. Unfortunately, the treatment is just as bad, with one of the medicines causing me to throw up countless times a day. I also lost my hearing in my right ear. The last time I tried to treat this bacteria, I was on antibiotics for a total of 18 months (one time for nine months, another for six). Despite this aggressive treatment, the bacteria lived on. Since then, I developed a few cavities in my lungs. These cavities are supposedly extremely difficult to fix, and only when on antibiotics. Sooo, this new doctor was supposed to give me a plan to restart the treatment. I was obviously very scared due to my past experiences. HOWEVER, despite me only being on antibiotics for just two weeks this whole year (a record for me), some of the cavities have actually closed up, and the others are in the process of doing so. Shocking to say the least. Because of this, we will not be starting treatment for now. So certain that this is a God thing, so hallelujah. Im still trying to wrap my head around this news. Jehovah Rapha. Also, want to ask for prayer. My pancreas is nearly nonexistent, so the doctor said I should be getting CF-related diabetes within a year. Its just one more thing to add to a list of issues, but Im scared nonetheless. Thank you to all who have been praying and wishing me luck!
