Pretty cool thing happened last night... My Grampa who passed nearly 20 years ago said Hi to me! (Thats how I look at it anyway) Rory and I were working on the music playlist for tonights boxing card we are hosting, something weve both done for several years now. Im the DJ so to say.... For a little inspiration, I turned those music stations on that are in the 900 channels on the satellite... As Im flipping through, my Grampas favourite song comes on! The song that my mom has always asked me to play for Grampa at the boxing shows that we put on..Joy To The World by Three Dog Night , a staple in my playlist every year. For those of you who dont know, my Grampa is the man who started it all. The club wouldnt exist if it wasnt for him. Nappers Boxing Club is his legacy. We put these shows on to raise money for the club so we can keep HIS dream alive!!!! I dont know about you, but the chances of that song from 1971 playing in the exact moment I tuned in for some ideas, is my way of Grampa saying hey, and that he was with us!
