Pretty wild if its legit - saw this from Bones post a couple days ago... The author of the first significant evolution in Ne-Waza (ground techniques) in the 19th century was the master Mataemon Tanabe Fusen-Ryu style. His teaching methods were incorporated in soil of Kodokan Judo, studied and improved by the famous students of Jigoro Kano in the early 20th century, including encouraging directly Tsunetane Oda (1892 1955) who was part of those who have studied the Kateme-Waza 固め技 or newaza (ground techniques) 寝技 effectively. Later the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu would take the lead role in the evolution of solo fight that happens these days. Another of the rare video footage of the master 40 Tsunetane Oda (1892-1955) 9th Dan creator of Sankaku Jime (triangle) and their variations. In this video Oda shows techniques developed by him and known in judo and Jiu-Jitsu.
