"Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he." Proverbs 16:18-20 Pride is a sword, and when we swing a sword that is not ours to swing in the first place, we not only wound those who we are using it against, but we also wound ourselves in the process. We must find meekness, peace, gentleness, and strength in the Savior. Pride should have no part in us....it only brings shame. Humility will bring us wisdom. Pride gets in the way of the blessings and grace that God wants to bestow upon us. Lord, I pray, let me never be prideful. If at any time there be any pride in me at all please cleanse me and purge me of it Lord. Create in me a kind, quiet, and gentle spirit, full of humility Jesus. Fill me with your loving spirit Lord. Thank you Father God...in Jesus name, Amen.
