Pride!pride!pride!,my brothers and sisters where are we going?by Gods grace and word lets go of this heinous soul perishing poison we mistaken for virtue.when are we totally going to by Gods grace and word divest ouurselves of this sin called pride?or have we so soon forgotten this calamity that intoxicated the devil that he became so full of himself and rebellious and was thus cast down from heaven along with his subverted angels of rebellion. MY sisters!harken to the word of God in truth&spirit,and harden not your heart my brothers to the soothing and life reedeming admonitions of the word of God. What is it that we so tenanciously hold unto that we refuse to totally&fully give into jesus christ?what is it my brethren that we carnaly hold dear that makes it so difficult for us to truely surrender to that life in christ jesus? just look at how we are ignorantly wallowing in pride while claiming to be humble,it seems we truely do not see this self righteousness we have established in self deceit and assurances. My brothers do you not see this pride that wont let you truely be born again?my brethren dont you percieve that same pride that hinders you from loving your enemies?that very same pride that has deeply sown hatred in your heart while you self deceivingly proclaim love.Yes!my brothers it is pride wether you like it or not;it is that same pride that blinds you to the perditious road you are walking on;yes!my brothers that pride that blinds many of us to this self glorification&angradisement;My sisters!that very same pride that makes you ashame of your natural self that you have covered yourself in an unholy disguise you mistaken for beauty;that same pride that makes us believe we belong to a certain class, level,orstrata in the society,that very pride that makes us want to be the ideal man/woman of the world.the very pride that makes us scared of poverty fearing the ridicule we may certainly face from freinds,family and foes,and the mockery and rejection of the society if we fail to meet its carnal standard,hence that pride that entices us to strive to dine with the rich,the high&the mighty of the society. LISTEN!this is no time for self deciet brethren,it is pride that drives ambition,that fuels hate&unforgivness,encourage material cravings, carnal self-reliance,and make men unwilling to turn the other cheek.oyes!pride that blinds even the false minister to the errors of his ways,that blinds them to their carnal nature but rather makes them proud of their carnal achievements,mammonic life and tendencies while prophecying the deceits of their heart and the vanities of life;and hinders them from admitting their soul ruinous perishing mistakes and turning from iniquity for fear loosing their godlike awe and infalliability they claim to posses. This very same pride that blinds many unwary brethren from realizing and admitting their ungodly ways&acts and truely repenting of them.My brothers behold this pridethat has besieged us all,that wispers false assurances to men,that makey unwary minds abide and follow the very opposite of the admonitions of christ,that makes us ignorantly glory in materialism,that hinders you from giving up the world,denying yourselves and taking up your cross to follow christ.yes!my sisters,it is pride that makes us want to save our life when mark8:35 admonish otherwise. It is pride!or are we still pretending how for the love of the flesh,pleasure,worldly respect&recongnition,acknowledgment,we are driven by carrers,ambition and spiritualy fruitless dreams to be at the top,or are all these not for the sake of the self no matter the humanistic&philantropic tedency which is definitely not of God,but with deep roots in self projection which is a manifestation of pride and anathema to humility and self abasement,or have we so soon forgotten the admonitions of our lord and saviour jesus christ in mathew23:11-12. Open your eyes my sisters and see how unforgivingly we have become so competitive in all facets of life,all in the name of an earthly dream that is as brief as our brief transient life,open your eyes by Gods grace&word and see how hatefully unforgiving we have grown in the name of enemies,so-called healthy rivalry,politics and even the so called iconic sports that borders on idolatory. Beloved,i implore us all beware this pride many are ignorantly inculcating in themselves and their children all in the false name of earthly determination&refinement,beware my brothers of this pride that comes in the guise of being well-bred and highly born;it is a hell bound sin that courts the souls of men,for this very same vice&sin lucifer was cast down,and yet for this same obvious poison men are refusing to abide in the truth of the word of God. Define it etymologicaly and cunningly whichever way you want to,pride is pride and nothing more or less,and it has no place in the life and heart of a believer,lie to yourself all you can and euphemise it as you deem fit,it is but yourself you will be decieving my brothers;even within our fellowships,you can percieve pride under different guise,instead of love it promotes hate and politics,instead of minister-servant mentality as christ admonished in mark10:42-45,there is minister-master reality,instead of equality in love even as james2:1-9,5:1-3 admonish,there is superior-sydrome mentality and preference inclass,and under the false doctrine of mammonic prosperity,wealth is made a proof of godliness,and pride an indexed of its manifestations,and under false feined humility unwary brethren are blinded by the praise of men which induces pride conciously or unconciously.Yes! it is pride that makes women even usurp the authority of the man,and that same pride that makes false ministers believe that when they command irrespective of Gods will God must consent,or that when he wills God must approve inspite of Gods wiil;this very same pride that makes our mothers,sisters and wives take paramount their beauty&needs over the lords admonition,also make men value their comfort,financial wellbeing,status and proclivities over the fear and love of God,and ultimately salvation. Yes! brethren,it is this very same pride accompanied with greed that has stoped a lot of us and might still stop most of us from heeding the loving admonitions,rebukes and warnings of the word of God;noahs generation and soddom&gomorrah are very memorable ensamples we will do well to remember and take heed;and for this very pride i implore and beseech us all by Gods grace&word to abhor and flee in jesus christ name AMEN.
