Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif launched Qarza-e-Hasna scheme on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said that under the scheme, 250,000 loans will be disbursed among deserving people this year while 1,000,000 (one million) loans will be given away during the next four years. He said upper limit of the interest-free loan has been fixed at 50,000 fifty thousand rupees. Every person can get loan from Rs10,000 to Rs50,000 for small businesses. The Prime Minister said 50 per cent loans will be given to women.
