Principal Environmental Engineer: Details: The IE/Northeast Region of URS is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Environmental Engineer for immediate employment in the Clifton, NJ office. This is a leadership position within a large environmental department which includes over 70 scientists and engineers who regularly investigate and remediate hazardous waste sites in the New Jersey and the New York areas as well as provide support to project managers in other URS offices. The appropriately qualified applicant will be expected to act in a leadership role on hazardous waste site remediation projects and proposals. Delegates work to, mentors, trains and supervises less experienced staff to complete assignments for our Federal, State and private sector clients. This senior position will require the ability to make independent decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents URS in front of clients, conferences, resolves important project/client issues and to plan and coordinate work. The incumbent will carry out complex or novel assignments requiring the development and overseeing implementation of new or innovative site remediation techniques and procedures.
