Printed Letters GJ Daily Sentinel: By Staff Wednesday, December 24, 2014 Thoughtful girls bring holiday spirit to Loma With all the horrific news headlines recently I thought I would give readers of The Daily Sentinel a heart-warming story for a change. I am the assistant director of Dream Catchers Therapy Center and End of the Trail Horse rescue in Loma. We are a non-profit organization providing equine-assisted therapy to children with both mental and physical disabilities along with veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. The sweetest thing happened to us at the end of last week. I was contacted by two Fruita middle school students, Makayla Burke and Ashlyn Squires, who told me they picked Dream Catchers to make a donation to for the holidays. These two girls went out on a campaign and collected and delivered to our Loma facility $157 and two much-needed truck loads of gravel. It was so nice of them to think of others and take the initiative to do something about it on their own at such a young age,. With great appreciation to the thoughtfulness of these two young girls who wanted to give back to their community. JIM WILSON Assistant Director, Dream Catchers Therapy Center Loma 970.589.4454
