Private Snafu is a couple of World War II cartoons shown to military troops for both entertainment and moral. The cartoons center around a private in a not given branch of service but looks to be the Army. It is basic everyman comic relief, The first cartoon deals with his missing home and thinking thing are easy there. He is then greeted by a fairy who shows him how his family is doing their part for the war effort. Be it working in factories building tanks and ships to planting a victory garden to joining the WACs, they all are doing their part according to the cartoon. Feeling better about this, Snafu bids farewell to the fairy. The second cartoon show Private Snafu on the front lines, moving into an area the enemy has fled from. The narrator warns of booby traps that the enemy could of left behind. Snafu finds many booby traps. First is a shower with a huge gun pointing down on it. Then he finds an undersea mine strapped to a camel. Then he finds a harem which turns out to be a series of booby traps. After escaping the harem, he hears a mini Hitler figure playing a song he could not get right on a piano which was in the harem. Upon hearing this, he runs back into the harem and plays the song correctly. However the last note to the song is on a booby trapped piano key and he is blown up.
