Pro Tip #13: Do you get out of bed each day committed to your life? Most folks dont, you know. Often, the day ahead doesnt promise to be all that exciting, and you may even already be behind on your To Do List when your feet hit the floor. If thats the case, then add another item to that list: Do one action today that moves you closer to your goals... even if its a tiny baby step. Just one action. Read one chapter of a book that teaches you something. Watch a tutorial video. Make a healthy shake to start your day. Do 15 lousy minutes of light exercise. Call someone wholl make you smile. In fact, back up a few minutes. Before you get out of bed, stretch like a dog. Just warn your body that youre getting up. Take a couple of full-lung breaths, and exhale completely -- get that carbon dioxide out of there, bring in fresh oxygen troops. Sit up. Realize youre alive, in a world popping with wonder, and allow yourself to smile. Yes, horrors abound. Your body and your ego may be severely wounded, even. So what? As the poker fiends like to say, a chip and a chair at the table is all you need to get back in the game. If youre breathing, and you havent bled out during the night, youre still playing, dude. Possibility and transformation may yet await you today. Or not. It doesnt matter -- youre a player in todays action, and what you do today matters... to you, to those around you, to whatever part of the world youre going to engage with. Big smile. Deep breath. Indulge in a happy memory. Now, go get em, Tiger. And remember: Commit to the shot, and keep your focus on the follow-through. (Works in golf, too, by the way.)
