Probably destined to be one hit wonders in the US, The Church remain one of my favorite bands of the last thirty years. Theyve had a few hits in their native Australia, but even down under, their fan base is more of a cult, with the band only having reached the Top 40 there three times. This single was issued in the US in 1985, three years before their lone hit single here. It didnt even become a hit down under, which is puzzling, as its a perfect mid-80s sounding chart item. Not enough synthesizers maybe?
