Probably the most important biblical passage among these Bible verses for missions is the great commission found in Matthew 28:19, where Jesus commands his followers to preach the truth to all nations. It is a necessary part of the plan of salvation and requires the power of the Holy Spirit to not only first call the missionary, but to empower him to fulfill that calling. Here is Gods Word to us, we are all called to spread the Gospel in one place or another. 1. "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”"[ Acts 1:8] 2. "And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation."[Mark 16:15] 3. "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"[Matthew 28:19] 4. "For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”"[Romans 10:13-15] 5. "For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, “I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.”"[Acts 13:47]
