Producer question: Whats your hz range preference for kicks? I want iPod headphones to pick em up, but I also want to be banging on a sound system too! Catering to both sides of the spectrum. I figured 41.20hz (E1) was far too low, but thats whats beefy on a system. I was thinking about using a club kick for the peak, and 808 for the tail, so it was more noticeable (bad idea, maybe)? Possibly something around 98.00hz (G2)?
