Product Development Manager(MENA) - (Middle East N.Africa) Job Code : DP-PDM JOB DESCRIPTION TITLE Product Development Manager(MENA) Department: Crop Protection Directly Reports To: Area Manager – MENA Crop Protection Location: Egypt Working Days: Sunday to Thursday (2 days Off) Working Hours: 8 working Hours/day Package:- Basic Salary Range: LE: gross monthly from EGP 18’000 to EGP 30’000 REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Please put a list of bulleted points) Objectives Develop and Introduce new products and renew existing product portfolio in Middle East and North Africa region by meeting officials, conducting farmers’ meetings and actively participating in key field and technical events Support sales and provide technical expertise for our distribution customers in the region, in order to jointly create competitive edge for company Crop Protection portfolio Fully integrated member of the business team for the region, providing input to business direction and aligning own work priorities to business objectives. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for developing and promoting company Crop Protection portfolio in cooperation with our sales team and distributor organizations Translate learning and results across Middle East and North Africa region to achieve efficient and effective product development and promotion Define, prioritize and execute development projects according to product potential and established budgets. Assess market fit and provide market intelligence such as market data by country/crop and developing farmer needs Provide technical support for existing and new products throughout the value chain. Prepare launch campaigns, develop literature, create labels, conduct seminars and conferences, follow product demos, and develop selling platforms. Prepare trial protocols and follow field trials with officials or private distributors, review trial results and enter in appropriate company databases Constantly look for improvement in field development and related processes and interactions with external stakeholders to improve potential of company portfolio. Ensure commitment to company Stewardship principles throughout the life cycle of the products REQUIREMENTS : Education : Agricultural University background From 5 years’ experience in the agricultural chemicals field development Demonstrated technical expertise and strong interpersonal abilities Excellent communicator and proactive team player English proficiency (written and spoken), fluency in Arabic and/or French an advantage Finally, on the compensation, I wonder if we are not going too much in the detail so early in the process. we do not want this to be discussed with candidates upfront – we need matching candidates and profiles and their expectations rather than filter them based on the compensation at an early stage… Thanks.
