Production Supervisor Cleveland, OH DVUV is the innovator of UV-cured powder coating for MDF (medium density fiberboard) wood. They specialize in custom powder coated components for the retail, store fixture, POP display, healthcare, educational and office furniture industries. UV-cured powder coating is environmentally .friendly and contains no VOCs or HAPs. Description: Production Supervisor 1. Line of responsibility: The Production Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager. 2. Primary function: Manage all aspects of floor production; product quality, production and quality reports, production line labor management & operations to assure 100% quality and on time shipments of all orders. 3. Responsibilities: The production supervisor will be responsible for the implementation and or management of the following in accordance with company policies. An operating and working knowledge all materials, component parts and operations of the UV wood powder coating system. Material receiving inbound inspection, shipping and shipping documentation. Working with the operations manager to set and manage daily, weekly and monthly schedules to meet customer delivery requirements by managing raw material and work in process inventory, line labor staffing and other requirements. Inventory control management of all components, powder and system supplies, assuring that components, powder and supplies are available when required. Purchasing of supplies and materials. Establish and manage routine system protocols to assure the continued and effective operation and continuous improvement of the powder coating system. Implement and manage the company’s preventive maintenance program and schedule to assure maximum system productivity and minimize downtime. Responsible to maintaining an ordered, clean and safe production environment – plant floor, waste disposal, powder room, employee restroom and employee eating area. Lead, manage and develop the production team. Other responsibilities not as of yet defined. 3. Time Requirements: This is a full time position. 4. Physical Requirements: Perform the same work tasks as the production staff. 5. Minimum Job Qualifications: Experienced floor production leader. Computer skills; Excel and Word. Fluency in Spanish a plus. 6. Evaluation: Evaluation after 90 and 180 days and at anniversary of hire. 7. Compensation: $45,000 to $50,000 and commensurate with experience plus medical, vacation, holiday and 401K benefits. 8. Skill/career development: Company sponsored training.
