Programs to Adopt The Boys and Girls Club of Airdrie is proud to offer afterschool and evening programming from two locations in Airdrie. The Centre Our Centre facility services youth ages 12 – 18 and offers many different interested based evening programs as well as afterschool drop-in. Some programs needing adopting include: • DJ Lessons: Youth learn to DJ from a professional with high-tech equipment than showcase their skills. • Girl’s Night: Girls come together to participate in a variety of female focused activities and conversations around self-esteem and healthy relationships. • Photography: Youth learn to develop their own personal voice, positive identity, social skills and artistic skills through digital photography. • Scratch: Youth learn the nutritional benefits and techniques used when cooking from scratch. • Graphic Arts: By working with a Graphic Artist youth will have the opportunity to try out different digital arts programs. • Creative Canvas: Youth can express themselves through different artistic mediums including drawing, painting & sculpting. • Guitar Lessons: Learning guitar basics including tuning, major cords, scales, power chords, scales and beginners songs. • Afterschool Drop-In: Youth are welcome to drop in each day afterschool for snacks, homework help and activities. • BGCafe: Youth are invited to showcase their many talents at this open mic. night.
