Progressives ‘ll rule Oyo for 50 years –Ajimobi "Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has declared that progressive politicians would rule the state for the next 50 years, thereby sealing the fate of those he called “reactionary elements.” The governor said this while receiving hundreds of defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Accord Party (AP) from Ibadan North Local Government Area of the state to the ruling Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in Ibadan at the weekend. The defectors, mostly political office holders, during the Senator Rashidi Ladoja and Otunba Christopher Alao-Akala administrations, hinged their decisions to join ACN on what they termed the sterling performance of Governor Ajimobi in the last two years." - The Sun (So, are the defectors now "progressives" just because they crossed over to your side?)
