Your father and I are watching the grand kids, so todays post will have to be brief. We certainly did appreciate what we had, but we really could not predict that our time with you would end so soon. You have always believed that the most glorious mess in the world was made in our family room on Christmas day. Somewhere, I have a picture of the aftermath, probably because you insisted that I take that picture. You loved to cover the pets with the wrapping paper. When Ryan grew up, he would try to clean up the wrappings as he unwrapped but you quickly vetoed his attempt! I secretly appreciated Ryans effort, but I found it so endearing that you still really enjoyed the 3 foot pile of wrapping paper all over the floor, especially at your age. We all appreciated the time spent we spent together. We all appreciated the love that we shared. We all appreciated the individual qualities that made us all unique. While we appreciated the gifts we shared together, we will never forget that life is the greatest gift of all.
