Project Freedom Day One: Mike and I set out on our New Years adventure today from the foggy mountains of Panther Junction Texas with full hearts and a full tank of gas (thank you Scott and Mandy!). The loving memories of the night before were still swimming in our heads as we said goodbye to friends and family that we have come to know so well so fast, yet excitement burned for those yet to encounter. Mother Nature decided to spit a bit of ice on Texas today and with the road conditions the way they were we are forced to park our dear Meredith Montero Mitsubishi (shoutout to Amandra!) in the outskirts of Midland Texas for the remainder of our night. Our first contact for ride share services is to be picked up in the morning and we look forward to meeting her in the flesh! Along our search for passengers we also encountered a couple in need of transport as well not far from here, to Tucson AZ. No one is going anywhere with the roads the way they are tonight. Tomorrow morning however, its Phoenix AZ bound, party of five! One of many purposes on this journey is to follow the natural flow of life and see where it takes us, even when where it takes us is in a motel room that took our very last dollar. The point is to live in the moment. Tomorrow we receive cash for our transport incase you are unsure of what a ride share is. That puts us right in line with everything we need in the moment we need it in. This is our trial run to test that theory, that faith. However we do have a funding site if anyone cares to donate to our cause, just sayin. ;) So heres to day one! Michael Milligan
