Project Manager – Kazakhstan Qualifications/Experience * Degree in Architecture or Engineering; * Must have significant on - site Project Management experience from initial design stage through to handover and completion; * 15 or more years’ of working on multi - million dollar international construction projects within the high - end luxury hospitality industry; * Wide experience in working for internationally acclaimed hotel luxury brands’ projects worldwide; * Heavy design management experience in dealing and leading multiple design/ consulting firms worldwide; * Familiarity with Kazakhstan and/or other CIS countries construction sectors, codes and practices; * Strong leadership, management and communication skills, team building and motivation oriented; * Working knowledge of Project Management Information Systems and software like Primavera, Revit, etc.; * Excellent numerical and communication skills; * Excellent English language skills. Proficiency in Russian language or Turkish is highly desirable. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Communicate with the Client’s representative/s continuously regarding Project Progress and areas of concerns, preparation of reporting and presentations at Client’s board level when required; - Participate in the planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for the project; provide conceptual estimates, feasibility studies, and cost estimates, and coordinate, if needed, the production of basic design plans and construction documents; - Develop and/or administer project budgets and fiscal controls, contracts, and quality control provisions, perform project cost estimating and value engineering, as appropriate; - Oversee all aspects of the day - to - day management of the project; monitor and coordinate work performed by architectural, engineering, and construction departments; - Review and interpret proposed designs, architectural drawings, and building specifications for appropriateness to required function and/or institutional standard, and initiate revisions where appropriate; advise consultants and client as to how best to achieve required results; - Ensure that project operations are in compliance with design specifications and with client requirements; - Establish performance and delivery criteria, ensuring that client requirements are being met; prepare project specifications, and coordinate procurement, as appropriate; - Authorize the issuance of reports, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders, and approve contractor invoices for payment; - Direct work sequencing to expedite project delivery and to minimize disruption of ongoing operations; - Inspect, approve, and accept completed projects, ensuring conformance with institutional standards, building and life safety codes, and architectural/engineering specifications; - Represent Hill in all project related business with customers, consultants, contractors, and other public and/or private agencies and organizations; - Research and prepare reports pertaining to operations, equipment, policies, procedures, and/or other issues, as appropriate.
